Indian Army to hold Agniveer recruitment rally in Jalandhar

The Indian Army will conduct an Agniveer recruitment rally under the Agnipath scheme at the Government College of Art and Sports in Jalandhar from November 14 to 22, 2026.

More than 6,000 candidates from the districts of Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar who passed the Common Entrance Exam (CEE) are expected to attend. The rally will also include recruitment for eligible female candidates from Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.

The selection process involves physical fitness assessments, including a 1.6-kilometer run, beam tests for upper body strength, and verification of height and weight standards. Successful candidates will proceed to medical examinations. Authorities have warned candidates and guardians to remain vigilant against brokers or individuals promising selection in exchange for fees, emphasizing that recruitment is based strictly on merit.
