Indian Army’s Spear Corps Trains CISF Personnel at Agartala Airport in Tripura

The Indian Army’s Spear Corps has launched a two‑week specialised training programme for Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel deployed at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala, Tripura. The programme, begun on 27 July 2026 at the Agartala Military Station, is conducted under the Military‑Civil Fusion framework and includes modules on industrial and critical infrastructure security, vital area and point protection, quick‑reaction team drills, counter‑drone operations and threat‑mitigation tactics.

The joint training aims to improve operational coordination between the Army and CISF, upgrade tactical preparedness and strengthen the security of the state's key aviation infrastructure against emerging threats. After completing the 14‑day course, CISF staff will return to their airport duties with enhanced skills and readiness to counter security challenges.
