Indian athletes Gulveer Singh and Gurindervir Singh target Asian Games success

Indian athletes Gulveer Singh and Gurindervir Singh are preparing for upcoming international competitions. Gulveer Singh, a premier long-distance runner, has expressed his focus on securing medals at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. Singh, who recently relocated his training to Colorado Springs under coach Scott Simmons, plans to compete in the 1500m, 5000m, and 10000m events.

Singh’s recent achievements include becoming the first Indian runner to record a sub-60-minute half marathon and winning both a silver in the 10,000m and a bronze in the 5000m at the Commonwealth Games.

In sprinting, Gurindervir Singh is targeting gold in the 100m at the Asian Games. Singh holds the Indian men’s 100m national record and the Asian season-best time of 10.09s.
