Indian automotive firms launch green logistics and oil‑recycling pilots

TVS Motor Company and Indian Oil Corporation have signed an MoU to introduce electric TVS King Kargo HD cargo vehicles for the delivery of LPG cylinders to households. The partnership will use IndianOil’s network of more than 13,000 LPG distributors, aiming to cut carbon emissions, reduce operating costs and support the Indian government’s clean‑mobility goals.

Tata Motors and Castrol India have also signed an MoU to pilot a used‑engine‑oil circularity ecosystem in Karnataka. The scheme will create a traceable collection and channelisation system for hazardous used oil from Tata’s authorised service network, linking it to registered recyclers and supporting India’s extended‑producer‑responsibility framework and circular‑economy targets.
