Indian banking stocks YES Bank and IDFC First Bank face technical selling pressure

YES Bank and IDFC First Bank are currently experiencing significant selling pressure, with technical indicators suggesting both stocks are in oversold territory.

YES Bank is in a strong bearish trend, trading below all major moving averages. Analysts note a sharp breakdown below key support levels, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) near 17. Technical experts advise caution, suggesting that while a relief rally is possible if the stock sustains above the Rs 14.70–Rs 15 zone, a decisive break below that level could lead to further declines toward Rs 12.50.

IDFC First Bank has seen its share price fall approximately 10% over the last two weeks and 15% over the last month. Despite the stock turning oversold with an RSI of 24.3, the bank reported strong Q2 FY27 earnings, including a 197% rise in net profit to Rs 1,045 crore. While the stock is trading below its major moving averages, brokerages have provided varying outlooks, with some maintaining buy or add ratings based on projected improvements in net interest margins and asset quality.
