Indian banks offer 444-day fixed deposit schemes

Several Indian banks are offering specialized 444-day fixed deposit (FD) schemes with competitive interest rates. These schemes are positioned as low-risk investment options, particularly attractive to senior citizens who receive higher yields.

Central Bank of India currently leads the public sector banks with a 6.75% annual interest rate for general customers on this tenure. Punjab National Bank (PNB) offers 6.60% for general customers and up to 7.40% for very senior citizens. Indian Overseas Bank provides a matching 6.60% rate, while Canara Bank offers 6.50% for general customers.
