Indian banks receive Rajbhasha Kirti Awards in Navi Mumbai

At the 6th All India Rajbhasha Conference held in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, Union Bank of India and Indian Bank received prestigious Rajbhasha Kirti Awards for their excellence in implementing the official language, Hindi.

Union Bank of India secured the first prize in the ‘B’ linguistic category for its Hindi magazine, ‘Union Srijan’, for the 2025-26 fiscal year. The award was presented to Managing Director and CEO Ashish Pandey by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. During the event, the bank also released its book series title, ‘Karobar Sarvopari, Anupalan Nirantar’.

Indian Bank received the second prize for its outstanding performance in Rajbhasha implementation for the same period. This marks the third consecutive year the bank has received this recognition. Executive Director Shiv Bajrang Singh accepted the award on behalf of the bank. Additionally, Indian Bank's regional offices in Chennai, Kanchipuram, and Puducherry received various ‘Narakas Rajbhasha Samman’ honors for their contributions to official language policy.
