Indian bowlers Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, and Axar Patel eye 150 T20I wickets
Three Indian bowlers are positioned to become the first from their country to reach the milestone of 150 wickets in T20 Internationals. Arshdeep Singh leads the group with 140 wickets, requiring only 10 more to reach the mark. Jasprit Bumrah follows with 124 wickets, though his progress depends on workload management and fitness. Axar Patel currently holds 105 wickets and remains a key component of the spin department.
Following India’s 3-0 T20I series whitewash against Afghanistan, former cricketer Mohammad Kaif highlighted Axar Patel’s performance, noting that the spinner was somewhat unlucky due to dropped catches by teammates. Kaif suggested that had those opportunities been converted, Patel could have secured up to 15 wickets in the series. Patel finished the series with four wickets at an average of 16.00 and an economy of 6.00.
