India dominates Asian U19/U23 Boxing Championships in Jakarta

The Asian U19 and U23 Boxing Championships were held in Jakarta in mid‑July 2026. Indian boxers posted a commanding performance, with nine athletes reaching finals across the men’s and women’s U19 categories and all eight Indian women securing final berths. India collected multiple medals, including three golds, ten silvers and four bronzes in the women’s events, and six additional bronze medals from semifinal losses. Notable victories included Anggie Intania Chalik’s gold in the U19 women’s light‑flyweight (45‑48 kg) and strong showings by Chahat, Anshika, Megha Sheokand and Prachi Tokas, each advancing to finals with decisive wins.
