HDFC Bank and Indian automotive firms see major developments
Several Indian companies are seeing significant developments affecting their market focus. HDFC Bank CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan has informed the board that he will not seek reappointment when his tenure concludes in October, ending speculation regarding a potential extension.
In the automotive sector, Mahindra & Mahindra has expanded its ‘Battery-as-a-Service’ (BaaS) program to include its full electric-origin SUV portfolio, such as the BE 6 SPORTEQ, XEV 9S, and XEV 9e. Additionally, Ola Electric Mobility has been granted approval from the Ministry of Heavy Industries for an incentive of Rs 95.81 crore under the ‘Production Linked Incentive’ (PLI) scheme for automobiles and auto components.
These developments follow a session where Indian stock markets closed with gains, with the NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex both posting increases.
