Indian companies report mixed Q2 FY27 financial results

Several Indian companies reported diverse second-quarter financial results for fiscal year 2027.

The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts saw a 26.6 percent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 94.6 crore, driven by a 33 percent increase in operating revenue. CEO Anuraag Bhatnagar attributed the growth to strong demand across retail, corporate, and leisure segments.

Maruti Suzuki received a favorable Income Tax Appellate Tribunal order covering eight financial years, which is expected to have a positive tax impact of approximately Rs 13,000 crore. The company noted this would primarily reduce the interest component of its contingent liabilities.

In the banking sector, Chennai-based Indian Bank reported a 15 percent increase in net profit to Rs 3,462 crore. The lender also saw an improvement in asset quality, with gross non-performing assets (NPAs) moderating to 1.61 percent.

Conversely, media house DB Corp Ltd reported a 26.57 percent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 68.62 crore. The company cited a shift in the Navratri festive season affecting advertising revenue and increased newsprint costs due to geopolitical uncertainties.
