Indian companies see major updates in shipbuilding, automotive, and infrastructure
Several Indian companies are seeing significant corporate developments. Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders has signed an MoU with the National Shipbuilding and Heavy Industries Park-AP to develop a greenfield shipyard in Dugarajapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, with a projected investment of approximately ₹15,000 crore over the next five to seven years.
In the automotive sector, Maruti Suzuki India has launched automatic S-CNG variants for its Swift, Dzire, and Baleno models as part of its ‘Auto Green Mission’. Meanwhile, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance from East Coast Railway for a project valued at ₹404.88 crore involving third railway lines.
Other notable updates include Lenskart Solutions, which is facing a block deal involving approximately 3 crore shares worth ₹2,047 crore. VIP Industries has approved a proposal to raise up to ₹500 crore in FY 2026-27. Additionally, NMDC has set a target to achieve net-zero operational emissions by 2047, and Nestle India is facing regulatory scrutiny from the FSSAI regarding non-compliance issues with certain NAN and Lactogen products.
