Indian Creek Island, Miami’s Ultra‑Rich ‘Billionaire Bunker’, Hosts Bezos, Zuckerberg, Brady

Indian Creek Island, a 300‑acre man‑made enclave in Biscayne Bay north of Miami Beach, operates as an independent municipality with its own police force and guarded bridge. The island contains just 41 waterfront lots, with properties starting around $60 million and recent purchases by ultra‑wealthy individuals such as Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, NFL quarterback Tom Brady and Ivanka Trump. Residents pay a $500,000 initiation fee to join the Indian Creek Country Club and its private 18‑hole golf course. The community’s strict security measures, including 24/7 land and sea patrols and vehicle inspections for visitors, ensure extreme privacy, making it a “bubble” for the world’s richest.

As of 2020 the island housed 84 residents, and many owners rebuild existing homes with new mansions costing up to $200 million. Its isolation is reinforced by surrounding neighborhoods that lack clear views of the island, further protecting the enclave’s exclusivity.
