Indian cricket legends offer guidance to spinners

Former Indian leg-spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan has shared tactical advice for spinners competing in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He suggested that to counter power hitters, spinners should bowl slower through the air while imparting more spin. Sivaramakrishnan argued that bowling quickly allows batters to utilize their high bat speed, whereas slower deliveries can disrupt a batter's timing by arriving after they have committed to a shot.

In a separate development regarding player development, former cricketer Anil Kumble conducted a two-day masterclass for India's emerging and targeted spinners at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The session focused on the skills and mindset necessary for success at the elite international level, with Kumble mentoring attendees on the finer aspects of their game.
