Indian Cultural Centre hosts mehndi workshop in Tel Aviv

The Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) in Tel Aviv hosted a hands-on mehndi workshop, allowing participants to learn about the Indian tradition of Henna art. The event featured traditional motifs and patterns as part of celebrations leading up to India’s 80th Independence Day.

This initiative aligns with the Cultural Exchange Programme (CEP) established between India and Israel for the 2026-2029 period. The CEP aims to deepen mutual understanding through exchanges in music, theatre, visual arts, dance, and other creative fields.

Following a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, both nations have emphasized strengthening connections through culture and sport. This includes planned cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Israel and India in the field of cinema, involving joint productions and creator exchanges.
