Indian diplomats in China hold bilateral talks and Independence Day ceremonies

Indian diplomatic representatives in China have engaged in both ceremonial and bilateral discussions. In Beijing, Ambassador Vikram Doraiswami met with Wang Hongxiang, Executive Vice President of the China Law Society, to discuss the society's international engagement and upcoming cooperation. This meeting preceded Wang's planned visit to India.

In Shanghai, Consul General Pratik Mathur met with Li Dong, President of the Shanghai CCPIT, to discuss strengthening economic and commercial ties. The discussions focused on expanding business-to-business engagement and increasing market access for Indian exports in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, AI, technology, pharmaceuticals, and green development.

Additionally, Ambassador Doraiswami and Consul General Mathur led Independence Day celebrations for the Indian diaspora. In Beijing, the flag-hoisting ceremony was attended by community members despite heavy rain, while the Shanghai ceremony saw participation from approximately 400 members of the diaspora and Friends of India.
