Indian Embassy in UAE cautions nationals against unauthorized passport and visa agents

The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi has warned Indian nationals living in the United Arab Emirates to obtain passport, visa and attestation services only through the missions’ official channels. The advisory notes that, following the termination of outsourcing contracts with BLS International and SGIVS Global on July 1, 2026, all consular services are now provided directly by the Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai.

Applicants are reminded that booking appointments is free and must be done via the official portal (book.passportindiauae.com). The embassy cautioned the public against any third‑party agents claiming to be authorised, urging anyone who has been misled or overcharged to report the incident through official contact channels.
