Indian Epic Film ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ Sparks Fan Theories and Actor Donation

The trailer for Nitesh Tiwari’s mythological blockbuster Ramayana: Part 1, produced by Namit Malhotra, was released in late July, prompting online debate over who portrays Lord Vishnu in the opening sequence. Viewers have suggested Mahesh Babu, who is filming a separate mythology role, as well as actor Saurabh Raaj Jain, while the film’s star Ranbir Kapoor is already confirmed to play the avatars Rama and Parashurama.

Separate coverage highlighted the film’s remuneration details. Ranbir Kapoor is reportedly commanding a fee of Rs 150 crore for the two‑part project, while co‑star Vivek Oberoi has declined any payment, pledging his share to a charity for children with cancer. The movie is slated for worldwide release on 6 November 2026 (Diwali), with a sequel planned for Diwali 2027.
