Indian Expat Wins 5 Million Dirhams in UAE Lottery
Kishore Pandurang Rao, an Indian expatriate residing in Sharjah, has won the second prize in the UAE Lottery ‘Lucky Day’ draw, totaling 5 million dirhams (approximately 12.9 crore rupees). Rao, who has lived in the United Arab Emirates since 1993, purchased a 50-dirham ticket using the ‘Easy Pick’ feature for the October 3 draw.
The win occurred just five days before Rao’s 60th birthday. He expressed intentions to use the windfall to support his family, including funding his eldest son’s business and his younger son’s higher education. His long-term goals include applying for a UAE Golden Visa and traveling the world with his wife.
Rao advised other lottery participants to set strict spending limits and only play with money they can afford to lose.
