Indian IPO market sees surge as companies race to list

India is experiencing a surge in the initial public offering (IPO) market, with companies potentially raising up to Rs 25,000 crore in September 2026. This rush is driven by the upcoming expiry of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) regulatory approvals on September 30, 2026, and the onset of the Pitru Paksha period on September 26.

LCC Projects Limited, an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm specializing in water and irrigation infrastructure, has announced its IPO. The company has set a price band of ₹139 to ₹146 per equity share, with an estimated issue size of approximately ₹427 crore. The subscription period is scheduled from September 9 to September 11, 2026, with a proposed listing on the BSE and NSE on September 17.

Other companies participating in the September wave include Rentomojo, Manipal Payments & ID Solutions, and Karamtara Engineering. The market activity follows one-time extensions granted by SEBI to certain companies due to geopolitical conditions.
