Indian IT firms emerge as key partners for global AI deployment

Indian IT services companies are increasingly becoming essential partners for global artificial intelligence laboratories as the industry shifts focus from model development to enterprise deployment and integration. According to a report from UBS, firms like OpenAI and Anthropic are utilizing global systems integrators—including Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Accenture, Capgemini, and Cognizant—to help clients move AI pilots into production.

Major AI labs have noted that demand for enterprise deployment often outpaces their internal capacity. For instance, OpenAI has partnered with various integrators to assist with the adoption of its coding assistant, Codex. Similarly, Anthropic has highlighted that successful AI integration requires partners with proven experience in managing running systems.

In the domestic market, Iris Global Services Ltd reported completing business worth over Rs 40 crore with Nashik-based system integrator Minitek Systems during FY 2025-26. The two companies are targeting approximately Rs 70 crore in joint business for the current fiscal year, driven by the adoption of enterprise AI infrastructure.

Industry trends indicate that the primary barriers to scaling AI are not model performance, but rather data readiness, governance, and unclear return on investment. Major Indian IT firms have reported that clients are prioritizing data foundations, cloud platforms, and governance frameworks before committing to large-scale AI rollouts.
