Indian leaders mark Ayurveda Day and Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti
Indian leaders have extended greetings on two distinct occasions: National Ayurveda Day and the birth anniversary of Maharaja Agrasen.
On National Ayurveda Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that Ayurveda is not merely a treatment method but a medium for a healthy and balanced lifestyle. He shared a Sanskrit verse to highlight the science of determining beneficial and harmful lifestyles for long-term health. Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav noted the growing global demand for Indian Ayurvedic and herbal products in American and European markets, citing it as a sign of international trust in India’s holistic wellness approach.
Separately, political figures including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini marked the birth anniversary of Maharaja Agrasen. Leaders praised his legacy of social equality, service, and governance. Om Birla highlighted Agrasen’s principles of justice and social harmony, while Suman Saini noted his tradition of mutual cooperation through the ‘one brick, one rupee’ concept to promote self-reliance and social unity.
