Indian legal experts address AI and digital rights in new seminars

Legal institutions in India are hosting seminars to address the intersection of emerging technologies and the law. At the India Digital ADR Summit 2026 in Gandhinagar, Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal emphasized the need to balance artificial intelligence in arbitration with human judgment, noting that AI should enhance efficiency without replacing the human mind.

Separately, the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) and the Kerala Judicial Academy are organizing a three-day seminar in Ernakulam titled “Music, Cinema and Law: Exploring the Intersections of Art, Culture and Law.” The event aims to examine legal challenges involving copyright, artificial intelligence, digital platforms, and creative rights, featuring speakers from the judiciary and the creative industry.
