Indian luxury hotels receive global hospitality recognition

Indian luxury hospitality brands have achieved significant international recognition in recent global rankings. The Leela Palace Hotels & Resorts was named the No. 2 Best Hotel Brand in the World in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2026, a distinction determined by reader votes.

Additionally, two properties from the state of Rajasthan appeared on the extended list (ranks 51-100) for the World’s 50 Best Hotels. The Johri, a boutique five-suite haveli located in Jaipur’s Johri Bazaar, was ranked at No. 94. The Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur secured the No. 98 position. These rankings were determined by a panel of over 800 anonymous industry experts.
