Indian MP Pappu Yadav Family Threatened, Police Launch Probe

On July 28, two complaints were posted on the official website of Rajesh Ranjan, the Pappu Yadav MP from Purnia, threatening to shoot him and blow up his family with a bomb. The alleged sender identified himself as Mukesh Mishra and provided a mobile number, email ID, Aadhaar number and a Madhubani (Bihar) address.

Pappu Yadav lodged a request with senior Delhi police officials for an immediate FIR and the arrest of the perpetrators. The Delhi Police cyber‑cell is tracing the IP address and other digital evidence, and the case has been escalated to the DCP level with additional security measures being considered for the MP and his relatives.
