Indian National Congress intensifies election preparations in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand
The Indian National Congress is intensifying its organizational efforts ahead of upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
In Uttar Pradesh, the party has strengthened its ranks by inducting former IAS officer Dr. Rakesh Verma and South Indian film actress Zara Khan. The induction, held in Lucknow in the presence of State President Ajay Rai, aims to leverage Verma’s administrative expertise and Khan’s social influence to broaden the party's reach across different sectors.
In Uttarakhand, the Congress party is focusing on structural reforms and political opposition. The party plans to form a new executive committee within 15 days and is preparing a comprehensive charge sheet against the state government. This document is expected to highlight issues such as unemployment, inflation, development, and law and order to mobilize voters at the booth level.
