Indian nationals' bodies return to Kerala following Germany apartment fire

The bodies of Sivin Johny and Anjali, who died in an apartment fire in Bochum, Germany, arrived at Nedumbassery Airport in Kerala on Friday. The victims were students living in Germany.

A third victim, Nova Sabu, is also expected to be repatriated to Kerala following the incident. Authorities in Germany have ruled out technical defects as the cause of the blaze. Investigators are currently questioning a 41-year-old resident as part of an ongoing homicide investigation directed by the Bochum prosecutor’s office.

The Embassy of India in Berlin and the Consulate General of India in Frankfurt are coordinating with local authorities and supporting the bereaved families.
