During the visit, Admiral Swaminathan will meet with senior Mauritian government leadership to discuss maritime security, defense cooperation, capacity building, and military collaboration. The Ministry of Defence noted that the engagement is intended to enhance operational-level linkages and consolidate the strategic partnership in the Indian Ocean Region.

Existing cooperation between the Indian Navy and the Mauritian National Coast Guard includes training exchanges, joint Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) surveillance, port visits, and hydrographic surveys.
