Indian Navy Takes Lead in Anti‑Submarine Warfare at RIMPAC 2026 in Hawaii

The Indian Navy deployed its P‑8I Long‑Range Maritime Reconnaissance and Anti‑Submarine Warfare aircraft to the 30th Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise in Hawaii, marking its first role as Deputy Commander Task Force for theatre‑level anti‑submarine warfare. The deployment underscores expanding operational responsibilities for India within multinational maritime frameworks and highlights deeper defence cooperation between New Delhi and Washington.
