At a national conference in Hyderabad, Telangana Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Danasari Anasuya, also known as Seethakka, called for greater protection and professional rights for women journalists. Addressing the National Conference of Women Journalists, she emphasized that women should not face intimidation, retaliation, or character assassination for performing their duties. She highlighted the importance of accountability and the freedom to ask uncomfortable questions as essential components of democracy.

In New Delhi, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse advocated for increased opportunities for women in the sporting sector. Speaking at the All-Women Coaches Course under the All India Tennis Association’s ACE 2032 initiative, Khadse stressed the need for women to participate in roles ranging from grassroots competition to coaching, sports science, administration, and leadership.
