Indian Oil and Motor Companies Ink Sustainability MoUs for Used Oil Recycling and LPG Delivery

IFP Petro Products Pvt. Ltd and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) have signed a memorandum of understanding to create a nationwide used‑lubricating‑oil (ULO) collection ecosystem in India. The partnership will combine BPCL’s extensive industrial, institutional, retail and service network with IFP Petro’s expertise in used‑oil collection, resource recovery and re‑refining. It aims to improve traceability, support Extended Producer Responsibility compliance and re‑refine used oil into base oil, reducing reliance on imported petroleum.

TVS Motor Company and Indian Oil Corporation Limited have also signed an MoU to modernise last‑mile LPG cylinder distribution. TVS will supply its King Kargo HD electric cargo vehicles to IndianOil’s network of over 13,000 LPG distributors, aiming to cut carbon emissions, lower total cost of ownership and boost operational efficiency. "The partners bring together trusted organisations to transform LPG distribution with cleaner, high‑performance vehicles," said Rajat Gupta, Business Head of Commercial Mobility at TVS Motor. "The induction of electric cargo vehicles will help improve fleet productivity, lower costs for distributors, and contribute to reducing carbon emissions," added V. C. Asokan, Executive Director at Indian Oil.
