Indian police arrest suspects in Lucknow rape case and Delhi juvenile murder

Police in Lucknow arrested five suspects for the abduction and rape of a 16‑year‑old girl from the Mohanlalganj area. The accused – Dwarka Raidas, Vinod Rawat, Durgesh Rawat, Khushboo and Rabia – were detained on July 26 and placed in judicial custody after an FIR was lodged under the BNS and POCSO Acts.

In Delhi, officers apprehended two juveniles, aged 16 and 17, for the stabbing murder of a 16‑year‑old boy in a DDA park in northeast New Usmanpur. The victims' bodies were found in a pit, and the suspects, residents of Ghaziabad, confessed that the attack followed a dispute after luring the victim to the park under the pretext of buying slippers. Both cases are under investigation by local police forces.
