Indian police resolve multiple theft and misappropriation cases
Police in India have conducted several operations targeting theft and misappropriation across different regions.
In Delhi, authorities arrested 37-year-old Arjun Sharma for the misappropriation of Rs 23.60 lakh. Police recovered Rs 20.80 lakh in cash, a scooter, and three mobile phones from his possession. The incident occurred after Sharma, an employee for a chemical business, failed to deposit collected funds into a bank.
In Kerala's Kozhikode, thieves stole over 100 mobile phones, including 92 iPhones, valued at approximately Rs 80 lakh from a shop in Nadapuram. Investigators are examining CCTV footage and using fingerprint experts to identify the suspects.
Delhi Police's South District also successfully resolved four vehicle theft cases during a special drive, recovering two scooters, an autorickshaw, and a car. Four individuals were apprehended during the operation.
Additionally, in Ghaziabad, police recovered Rs 4 lakh in stolen cash hidden in a godown. The money was linked to a 28-year-old burglar named Firoz, who was arrested in connection with a house theft in northeast Delhi.
