Indian Railways announces special festive trains for Diwali and Chhath Puja

Indian Railways has announced several special train services to accommodate the surge in passenger demand during the upcoming Diwali and Chhath Puja festivals.

West Railway will operate two pairs of Amrit Bharat Special trains between Udhna (Surat) and Jaynagar. These services, scheduled for late October, aim to assist migrants traveling from Gujarat to Bihar. The trains will stop at 18 major stations, including Vadodara, Ratlam, Kanpur, Prayagraj, and Darbhanga.

Additionally, East Central Railway and Northern Railway will launch a 16-coach Vande Bharat Festival Special connecting New Delhi and Patna starting October 16. This superfast service will complete 18 trips in each direction throughout October and November. The route includes stops at Aligarh, Kanpur, and Prayagraj, designed to help passengers reach their destinations efficiently during the peak festive season.
