Indian Railways announces special trains and schedule changes for Diwali and Chhath festivals

Indian Railways has announced several measures to manage passenger surges during the Diwali and Chhath Puja festivals. Central Railway is introducing special train services to provide relief for travelers returning home after the festivities. These include special services between Nagpur and Mumbai on November 28 and 29, as well as additional connectivity between Nagpur and Hadapsar (Pune) scheduled for late November.

Simultaneously, Northern Railway has implemented timetable revisions for several major trains operating from Delhi, Anand Vihar, and New Delhi toward Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Affected services include the Tejas Rajdhani, Sampoorna Kranti, Lucknow Mail, Vaishali Express, Vikramshila Express, and Prayagraj Express. These schedule changes are set to take effect between October 28 and October 29, requiring passengers to verify updated timings via official railway portals before travel.
