Indian Railways announces special trains for Diwali and Chhath Puja

Indian Railways has announced several special train services to accommodate the surge in passenger demand during the upcoming Diwali and Chhath Puja festival seasons. To assist travelers, particularly those heading to Bihar, the Railways is operating 13 pairs of special trains. This includes clone trains for the Tejas Rajdhani and Sampoorna Kranti services running between Delhi and Patna from November 1 to November 25.

Approximately 50 trains will operate daily between Delhi and Bihar from October 20 to November 30, with an additional 400 special trains scheduled to run from Delhi and other major cities to Bihar between October 1 and November 30. These services aim to provide relief to passengers traveling from states such as Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.

Additionally, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is running four pairs of festival special trains. These include services such as the New Jalpaiguri-Gomti Nagar route and various Katihar-Purnia and Katihar-Manihari routes, operating between October and December to facilitate regional travel.
