Indian Railways announces train cancellations and route changes

Multiple railway divisions in India are implementing service changes due to ongoing infrastructure and remodeling work.

In Madhya Pradesh, the remodeling of the Bina Railway Yard has led to the cancellation of four MEMU trains between Bina and Ruthiya through October 25, 2026. Additionally, five express trains, including the Bandra Terminus-Muzaffarpur Express and the Ahmedabad-Darbhanga Express, will operate on diverted routes via Mahadev Khedi, Malkhedi, and Agasod. Several passenger trains, such as the Bina-Gwalior Passenger, will also see changes to their starting points or termination stations.

Simultaneously, the Adra Railway Division in the South Eastern Railway zone has announced disruptions from October 22 to 25 due to development works. Eight MEMU trains are scheduled for cancellation, and several others will operate with shortened routes. The Tatanagar-Hatia Express will follow a diverted path via Chandil, Gunda Bihar, and Muri on October 22 and 23. Furthermore, the Buxar-Tatanagar Express may face delays of up to 60 minutes. These changes are expected to affect commuters across Jharkhand, Bihar, and West Bengal.
