Indian Railways approves new MEMU services for Meerut City

Indian Railways has approved two new Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) services in Uttar Pradesh to enhance regional connectivity. The new routes will link Meerut City with Khurja and Saharanpur.

The Khurja–Meerut City MEMU (Train No. 64573/64574) is scheduled to depart Khurja at 1:15 pm, arriving in Meerut City at 5:20 pm. The return service will depart Meerut City at 11:25 am, reaching Khurja at 4:00 pm. The Saharanpur–Meerut City MEMU (Train No. 64580/64579) will depart Saharanpur at 5:50 am, arriving in Meerut City at 8:10 am. The return journey will depart Meerut City at 5:45 pm, arriving in Saharanpur at 8:40 pm.

Both services will include commercial stoppages at all stations along their respective routes. These additions follow the recent approval of a daily overnight service between Kanpur Central and Anand Vihar, aimed at improving mobility between Kanpur and the Delhi region.
