Indian Railways launches four new Vande Bharat services in Jammu Division

The Ministry of Railways announced the introduction of four new train pairs in the Jammu Division for the 2025‑26 fiscal year, including two Vande Bharat Express services. The new routes are the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Budgam Express, the Amritsar–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express, and two Jammu Tawi–Srinagar Vande Bharat Express pairs.

The Jammu Division, created in January 2025 as Indian Railways' 70th division, now sees Jammu Tawi served by 114 long‑distance trains, Katra by 46 services, and Budgam by 19. Existing connectivity links Jammu Tawi and Katra to more than 100 destinations across India, including New Delhi, Howrah, Guwahati and Chennai. Further additions will depend on line capacity, rolling‑stock availability and infrastructure readiness.
