Indian Railways updates Vande Bharat Express schedules from Varanasi

Indian Railways has announced schedule changes for two Vande Bharat Express trains operating from Varanasi. The new timings are set to take effect from September 2, 2026.

The Varanasi-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express (train numbers 20888/20887) will now depart from Varanasi Junction at 15:55 instead of 16:05, a 10-minute advancement. This service operates most days of the week, excluding Tuesdays, and covers approximately 536 kilometers with stops at eight stations including Gaya and Bokaro Steel City.

The Varanasi-Deoghar Vande Bharat Express (train number 22500) will also depart Varanasi Junction 10 minutes earlier, moving from 06:20 to 06:10. For both services, the departure times from Varanasi have changed, but arrival and departure times at subsequent stations remain unaffected. Passengers are advised to verify the updated schedules via official railway websites or mobile apps before traveling.
