Indian regional government recruitment updates in UP and Punjab

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced the results for the Lekhpal Mains Examination 2026. The exam, held on May 21, 2026, pertains to 7,994 vacancies for Revenue Accountant positions within the Government of Uttar Pradesh. A total of 28,409 candidates have been shortlisted to proceed to the document verification stage.

In Punjab, the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has reopened applications for Junior Engineer positions. The recruitment drive covers 158 Group-B technical vacancies across civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. Eligible candidates with relevant engineering diplomas can apply online through the official PSSSB website until September 15, 2026.
