Indian research institutes announce research associate openings in plant biotechnology and hydrology
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research's National Institute for Plant Biotechnology (ICAR‑NIPB) in New Delhi has opened a contract Research Associate position under its Translational Genomics in Crop Plants project. The role offers a monthly salary of ₹67,000 plus 30 % HRA for PhD holders (₹61,000 plus 30 % HRA for master’s graduates) and runs until September 2026 or project completion. Candidates must hold a PhD in a plant‑science discipline such as molecular biology, biotechnology or bioinformatics and possess research publications in SCI‑indexed journals.
The National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, is conducting a walk‑in interview for a single Research Associate‑II post. The post carries a salary of Rs 61,000 per month plus HRA and requires a PhD in hydrology, water‑resources engineering, geomatics, meteorology, remote sensing or related fields, along with at least three years of research experience and an SCI‑indexed paper. The walk‑in is scheduled for 6 April 2026, and the position is project‑based.
