Indian sailor Ram Chandra Dubey missing near Istanbul, family seeks government help

The family of Ram Chandra Dubey, a Merchant Navy employee from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, says he disappeared from a vessel near Istanbul, Turkey on July 25. Dubey was travelling on a ship operated by Delhi‑Noida‑based Deloship and was working alongside another crew member, Deepak Kumar Gupta. The family alleges the company only informed them of the disappearance a day later and has provided no further details.

Dubey’s father, Ramesh Chandra Dubey, has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for urgent intervention to locate the missing sailors.
