Indian seafarers safe after YARA J reaches Romania
All nine Indian seafarers aboard the chemical tanker YARA J are safe following the vessel's arrival at the Port of Constanta in Romania, according to the Embassy of India in Bucharest.
India’s Ambassador to Romania, Manoj Mohapatra, coordinated with Romanian authorities, including SAR Romania and MRCC Constanta, as well as the tanker's Company Security Officer, to confirm the safety of the crew. The Embassy has assured the seafarers of the Indian government’s full support and assistance.
This follows a recent incident involving the commercial vessel MV Royad Mammadov, which came under attack in the Black Sea. Three Indian nationals rescued from that vessel were recently repatriated to India with assistance from Romanian authorities.
