Four ULFA(I) Cadres Surrender to Assam Rifles in Arunachal Pradesh

Four hardcore cadres of the United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) surrendered to Assam Rifles in Longding district, Arunachal Pradesh. During a planned intelligence‑based operation along the Chupkhao track, the cadres handed over four weapons, ammunition and other war material. Defence officials said the surrender dealt a significant blow to the insurgent outfit’s operational capability in the strategically sensitive region and highlighted the effectiveness of sustained surveillance, precise planning and outreach efforts by security forces.

The operation follows recent joint actions in the northeast, including the arrest of two alleged ULFA(I) members in Assam’s Tinsukia district, underscoring a broader crackdown on insurgent activities in the area.
