Indian star Yash's film Toxic scheduled for August 26 theatrical release

The highly‑anticipated Indian movie *Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown‑Ups* starring Yash will open worldwide on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film features Yash in a dual role as Raya and Ticket and includes an ensemble cast with Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, it is one of the costliest Indian productions and will be released in six languages – Kannada and English simultaneously, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam – to reach a global audience.

The release has been timed to coincide with major Indian festivals such as Onam, Eid, and the Varamahalakshmi holiday, aiming to maximise box‑office draw. After a series of postponed dates (April 10, March 19, June 4) due to production and distribution considerations, the filmmakers confirmed the final launch date. The storyline follows the rise of a drug cartel in Goa from the 1940s through the 1970s.
