Indian states conduct major drug busts, seizing ketamine and marijuana

In Dehradun, Uttarakhand's Special Task Force (STF) and Anti‑Narcotics Task Force arrested two suspects, Shubham Kumar and Ankit Tiwari, and seized 1.521 kg of ketamine worth over Rs 15 lakh, along with a scooter and mobile phones. The investigation aims to trace the supply chain and identify further accomplices.

In West Bengal, the Kolkata STF and Purulia police intercepted a truck on National Highway‑18, uncovering a large consignment of marijuana hidden behind the driver's seat and detaining seven individuals. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari praised the coordinated operation and reiterated a zero‑tolerance stance on drug trafficking.
