Indian stocks in focus: BEL orders and Vedanta updates

Several Indian companies are seeing significant developments impacting their stock performance. Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has secured additional orders valued at approximately ₹730 crore since August 10, covering sectors such as communication equipment, radar, avionics, and cyber security.

In the financial sector, Prudential Corporation Holdings plans to sell a 2% stake in ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company to comply with Minimum Public Shareholding rules. The sale of roughly 99 lakh shares is expected to raise between $311 million and $327 million.

• Vedanta Resources has denied media reports suggesting the company or its subsidiaries are planning to sell stakes in their businesses.

• Tata Power is preparing to appeal a decision by the Singapore International Commercial Court regarding arbitral awards in proceedings initiated by Kleros.

• Jio Financial Services reported that its total assets under management exceeded ₹30,000 crore in Q1 FY27, representing a 163% year-on-year increase.

• GK Energy received a contract worth ₹455 crore to install rooftop solar systems in 100,000 homes.
