Indian textile sector sees major vendor showcase and festive product launches
The Indian textile industry saw significant activity through major brand launches and large-scale collaborative exhibitions. Ajmera Fashion Ltd concluded its role as the official Textile Partner at the Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav 2026, a four-day event held at Bharat Mandapam that ended on August 15. Under the leadership of CEO Ajay Ajmera, the company hosted a pavilion featuring 100 regional textile vendors from across India to provide small-scale weavers and suppliers with national visibility and direct connections to industry buyers. The pavilion was visited by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
In the home textile sector, Bombay Dyeing introduced new bedding collections designed for the upcoming festive season, including Raksha Bandhan and Onam. The brand released three distinct lines: the Saughat collection, which focuses on celebratory hues and gift-ready packaging; the Ethnicity collection, featuring traditional Indian-inspired prints on cotton; and the Urban Living collection, aimed at contemporary home aesthetics.
