Punjab women dedicate 1,100 rakhis to armed forces

In Punjab, the local Women Welfare Society organized a state-level program titled ‘Rakhi Sarhad Ke Naam’ at the Asafwala War Memorial near Fazilka. During the event, 1,100 special rakhis prepared by women were dedicated to the armed forces to express gratitude for soldiers guarding the nation's borders.

Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria attended as the chief guest, alongside Lieutenant General Shamsher Singh Virk and other senior army officers. The Governor emphasized the importance of society maintaining respect and gratitude for those serving in challenging conditions. The initiative aimed to connect the younger generation with the sacrifices made by the military.
